Managing Your Special Assets

Working together with you, we'll identify how to best manage your special non-financial assets—including real estate—on behalf of an estate or trust. As part of your First Citizens Wealth Management team, our Trust Special Assets team is ready to handle daily operational demands while providing knowledge and guidance for your holistic financial or estate plan.

As a corporate executor or trustee, First Citizens has a fiduciary responsibility to act in the best interest of the estate while following the terms of the trust or governing document.

Efficient planning and execution

Working together, we'll identify your assets, define your goals and determine a course of action to help you achieve your aspirations within the terms of the trust or governing document. We oversee and protect your assets under our care at all times. Our Trust Master Insurance Policy even includes flood and earthquake coverage. The Trust Special Assets team also regularly reviews procedural decisions and discusses all perspectives of your holdings.

Communication with you is key. We encourage regular face-to-face meetings with key team members to keep you and your advisors aware of current and potential property management issues.

Real estate

Often your most valuable investment, real estate is complex, time-consuming and requires specialized expertise to handle. The Trust Special Assets team will help you manage your residential, commercial, farmland or timber assets to achieve long-term financial benefits. Our goal is to provide you with industry-leading management service and help you meet or exceed your income and expense objectives. Our experienced team members belong to the National Trust Real Estate Association and are skilled negotiators in conflict resolution.
