Customizing List Views
In this video, you will learn how to apply filters, manage column headers and create a new view.
Many functions in this application are organized in a list, for example, Payments list view accessed by selecting Payment Management from the Payments & Transfers menu.
Applying filters can be useful when you need to select a subset of data based on certain criteria.
All list views have sticky headers and footers, so as you scroll through the list view items, the column headers, bulk action buttons and list page navigation stay visible.
Bulk action buttons are only enabled when at least one of the selected items is eligible for that action.
The Actions menu displays the default action to the left and additional actions under the ellipsis.
Right-aligned at the top of the list view is the refresh, print and export icons.
Columns visible in the list can be filtered right from the column header, or filters can be applied in bulk from the filters drawer on the right of the list view, including filtering columns not currently visible.
Select the criteria you wish to filter for, and click Apply.
If you want to add multiple filters, just repeat the same process.
When filters are applied to a list view, you'll see them displayed as chips above the grid.
Clicking on a filter chip will open the filters drawer with that filter in focus.
To hide the filter values, simply click the hide filters icon. Click the icon again to show them.
If filters have been applied, you can clear them from the chips, from the column header, or using the Clear All Filters link above the grid.
Another way to manage the data in the list view is to sort the data. You can sort any column by clicking the column header.
Click once for ascending, twice for descending or three times to clear the sort.
Alternatively, you can select the column menu and choose Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.
To manage columns, either select Choose Columns from a column header or expand the columns drawer to the right of the grid. Check or uncheck columns you wish to display, and drag to reorder them.
You can create multiple views and save them to meet your specific needs.
The view clearly indicates when there are changes that can be saved, so let's save the current view.
Click Save As, enter the view name and click Save.
You can choose to make any view the default so it appears every time you come to this list view.
To delete a custom view, simply find it in the list, click the ellipsis and choose Delete and confirm the deletion.
Thank you for watching how to manage and customize list views.
