Fixed Income: Will We See Rates Rise in 2021?

Joseph Mirsky

SVP, Head of Fixed Income

The key themes driving our 2021 outlook are:

  1. Less volatility across the fixed-income asset classes.
  2. A steeper yield curve and possibly higher interest rates, but when?
  3. Increased index benchmark duration due to treasury and corporate borrowing.
  4. Credit spreads remain steady with merger and acquisitions the biggest risk.
  5. Municipal fundamentals remaining intact.
