+What are First Citizens Mobile Apps?

First Citizens Mobile Apps for iPhone® and AndroidTM devices put you in control of your banking relationship and help you securely and conveniently:

  • View account balances and recent activity
  • Transfer money between accounts
  • Deposit checks using your iPhone or Android device
  • Manage and pay bills
  • Modify and delete pending bill payments
  • View and pay electronic bills (e-bills)
  • Pay People with Popmoney® using only a mobile phone number or an email address
  • Locate nearby branches and ATMs using your phone's GPS capability, or by searching by street address, city, state and zip code
  • View offers and information from First Citizens

You can do all of this and more simply by downloading the First Citizens Mobile Banking app, then selecting the app icon on your device home screen.

+Which devices are First Citizens Mobile Apps available for?

Currently, downloadable Mobile Apps are available for:

  • iPhone®, iPad®* and iPod® Touch devices with operating system iOS 4.3 or later.
  • AndroidTM mobile devices with an operating system of 2.2 or later.

    *iPad® uses the iPhone® app; a dedicated iPad® app is not currently available.
+What do I need to use First Citizens Mobile Apps?
You just need a First Citizens Personal Online Banking username and password and an iPhone® or AndroidTM mobile device.
+Are there fees to use First Citizens Mobile Apps?
First Citizens does not charge fees to download or use the First Citizens Mobile Banking app, First Citizens Mobile Web, or First Citizens Text Banking. However, there may be a fee for using services in Mobile Banking. As well, your mobile carrier may charge for data and text message usage. Check with your carrier for more information.
+How do I download the First Citizens Mobile App to my iPhone® or AndroidTM phone?

First Citizens Personal Online Banking customers can download the Mobile App by searching for "First Citizens Mobile Banking" in the Apple App Store or in Google Play. Remember to check the First Citizens logo to make sure you recognize it as the correct bank. There are multiple banks with the name First Citizens Bank. As a reminder, First Citizens is headquartered in Raleigh, NC. This will appear in the app description.

+How much transaction history is available via First Citizens Mobile Apps?

Deposit accounts, such as checking and savings, will show up to 90 days of transactions in groups of 25 (to get more, touch the "More" button at the bottom of the transaction history screen).

Credit card accounts will show two full statement cycles as well as any transactions in the current billing cycle.

+What is Mobile Check Deposit?
Mobile check deposit allows you to deposit checks from your iPhone or Android app. Simply take a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check, and then submit it for deposit to your First Citizens Bank checking, savings or money market account. +Is there a fee to use Mobile Check Deposit?
First Citizens Bank does not charge a fee to use Mobile Check Deposit.
+How does bill payment work in First Citizens Mobile Apps?
You can view and pay any billers in Mobile Banking that you have set up through Personal Online Banking.
+Can I set up new payees to make bill payments to in the Mobile Apps?
No, at this time you can only make payments to billers that you have already set up in Personal Online Banking. To add a biller, simply log in to your online banking account and add a new biller from the Payments tab.
+What dates can I schedule bill payments?
When you are scheduling payments, the payment date will default to the earliest possible date. Payments cannot be set up to pay on weekends, major holidays when First Citizens is closed, or more than 12 months in advance.
+Can I change or delete pending payments in the Mobile Apps?
You can modify or delete any pending payments that you have set up in Personal Online Banking through the Mobile App. You can change the payment date, amount, or completely cancel the payment on your mobile device and the changes will also appear in Personal Online Banking.
+What is Pay People with Popmoney®?
Pay People with Popmoney® gives you the ability to send or receive money to or from anyone with just an email address or mobile phone number. For more details, please refer to our Popmoney product information.
