Account Reconciliation

Save time and money when reconciling your checking account

Our Account Reconciliation Plans (ARPs) are designed to quickly and automatically reconcile all checks paid against your First Citizens account.

We offer several Account Reconciliation Plans:

Full Reconciliation

You provide us with information on checks issued during the month, and we compare it with the checks that have been paid. We'll send you:

  • A consolidated report of paid and unpaid checks, along with category totals (separate reports available upon request).
  • Notation of any checks you report as voided or canceled during the period.
  • Status update of any checks with stop payments in effect.
  • Electronic file of paid checks to upload to your reconciliation software (optional).
  • Full Reconciliation is often paired with Positive Pay to maximize fraud protection.

Partial Reconciliation

No information on checks you issue during the month is required. We'll provide:

  • A report listing the check number, amount and date paid for all checks.
  • Status update of any checks with stop payments in effect.
  • Electronic file of paid checks to upload to your reconciliation software (optional).

Deposit Reconciliation

Each of your business locations can make their deposits at any First Citizens branch or via Remote Image Deposit into a single checking account. A unique serial number on each location's deposit slips enables us to identify and report deposit activity to you by location. The more locations you have, the greater your potential savings in time and expense.

  • Reduced expenses by eliminating multiple deposit accounts and deposit transfers.
  • Detailed, summary deposit reports by location that can be produced daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Identification of returned deposited items and deposit corrections by location to speed reconciliation.
  • Concentrated deposits in a single account covers disbursement needs and takes advantage of investment opportunities.
  • Internet access to deposit activity through Business Online Banking Advantage®.
  • Electronic file of deposits to upload to your reconciliation software (optional).
