About netAccess

What is netAccess?

NetAccess is a free online banking service for non-analysis business customers to help you manage your First Citizens accounts. It uses the technology of the Internet and allows you to view your account information, transfer money between your accounts, pay your credit accounts, and perform other self-service tasks. How does netAccess differ from Business Online Banking Advantage?

Much like Personal Online Services with Bill Pay for our individual customers, netAccess is an easy-to-use, online service that enables business customers to get account information and pay bills from a single point of access.

Business Online Banking Advantage provides a comprehensive range of business banking and cash management features including multi-user access, previous and same-day information reporting, and corporate payment options like ACH and wire transfers.

How do Business Online Banking Advantage customers switch to netAccess?

Business Online Banking Advantage customers who want to cancel their existing service and sign-up for netAccess should contact their branch or call 1.888.FC DIRECT (1.888.323.4732).

Business Online Banking Advantage customers who cancel their existing service will lose access to all online account history more than two months old. Basic Business Online Banking Advantage customers that sign up will also be assigned a new Customer ID and Password. However, the Customer ID and Password can be changed after the initial sign in.

Existing Business Online Banking Advantage Bill Pay customers who switch to netAccess will need to re-add their bill payee information. They will also lose all their bill payment activity. However, these transactions will appear in their online account history.

How easy is it to use?

You do not have to know a lot about computers to be able to use netAccess, nor do you have to be at home to take care of your banking needs. For basic banking services, it is as easy as a click of your mouse. Using the Bill Pay service makes paying bills as simple as setting a date and an amount.

What do I need to use it?

All you need to use Online Banking is a First Citizens ATM card, Visa® Business Check Card or credit card, an Internet connection, and a current version of a web browser. We recommend you use at least version 5.x of Internet Explorer or version 4.5 of Netscape Communicator.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up online if you currently have an active First Citizens ATM card or Visa Business Check Card or credit card. Click here to sign up online.

If you do not have an active First Citizens ATM card or Visa Business Check Card or credit card, please visit a branch or call us at 1.888.FC DIRECT (1.888.323.4732) and choose option 2. We'll be glad to help you sign up for a card and netAccess at the same time.

Is the password case sensitive?

Yes. If you type your new password in all lower case letters, you will need to always type your password in lower case. Be careful of the CAPS LOCK key under the TAB key. It is a very easy and common mistake to press the CAPS LOCK key and then quickly lock yourself out of Online Banking.

Is there any cost?

netAccess is free of charge when you use it to perform basic functions such as accessing your account information, transferring funds, or other self service tasks. Click here for the Bill Pay fee schedule.

All netAccess customers may try the optional Bill Pay feature at no charge for four months.

After I sign up, when can I start using it?

You will have access to netAccess within two to five business days after you sign up and may begin using it then. Your welcome letter will contain very brief instructions and should arrive within five to seven days after sign up. Please contact us at 1.888.FC DIRECT (1.888.323.4732) if you do not promptly receive the welcome letter. If you enroll online, these first-time login instructions will also be provided on a confirmation screen and via e-mail.

How do I login to netAccess the first time?

To access netAccess, you will need to know your Customer ID and Password. This information is provided to you when you sign up, and in the welcome letter you receive. The welcome letter gives instructions on how to connect to netAccess for the first time.

What accounts can I manage with netAccess?

You will be able to view most of your business accounts with netAccess. This includes business checking and savings, credit cards, and lines of credit.

Can I transfer money to my First Citizens credit card?

Yes. You can make transfers from any of your business checking, savings, or money market accounts to your First Citizens credit cards, and lines of credit. A transfer to a credit account will post to your accounts as a payment by the next business day. You cannot transfer money to your Investor Services accounts.

Can I transfer money to my savings accounts? To my Checking accounts?

Yes. You can make transfers from your checking, savings, or money market accounts to your First Citizens savings and checking accounts. Transfers can be set up as immediate, future dated, or recurring. A transfer to savings and checking accounts is immediate, but will post to your accounts by the next business day.

Can I view check images with netAccess?

Yes. You will be able to view the front image of your check with netAccess. Simply click on your account name (from the Account tab or the homepage), then click on the check number to view the image.
