About Using Wire Transfer Service

Is there a deadline that I must meet to ensure my transactions process efficiently?

All domestic wire transactions submitted prior to 4:45 pm ET will be processed the same day. Transactions submitted after 4:45 pm ET will be processed the next business day.

All international wire transactions submitted prior to 2:00 pm ET will be processed the same day. Transactions submitted after 2:00 pm ET will be processed the next business day .

What if I submit an erroneous transaction?

You will need to send us a secure message in Business Online Banking Advantage or contact Business and Treasury Services Customer Service at 1.800.476.5121. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm ET.

How will I know if a transaction that our corporation initiates is returned to us?

You can view the status and history of your wire transfer from the Wire Summary page in Business Online Banking Advantage.

What can I do if a wire is returned?

You may either resubmit the wire or just request to credit back the account. If we do not receive notification, the funds will automatically be returned to the account.

Is there a way to verify the account and transit routing number(s) are valid before I initiate a transaction?

You would need to contact the beneficiary bank to verify their account number.

How long does it take for a transaction to post once I send it?

The posting date is the same as the transaction date. You should see your wire transaction included in your balance reporting functions the next business day.

What happens if I submit transactions over the weekend or on a holiday?

Financial institutions vary on how they handle transactions submitted on a non-business day. We will process the transactions on the next business day following the weekend or holiday.

After I receive my wire confirmation how do I know the wire was sent?

When you access your account the next business day you will see the wire transaction posted. Your available balance will also reflect the difference.

What do I do if the beneficiary bank claims non-receipt?

You will need to send us a secure message in Business Online Banking Advantage or contact Business and Treasury Services Customer Service at 1.800.476.5121. We will then put a trace on the wire to assist the recipient bank in locating the funds. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm ET.
