Reconciliation Services

Reconciling your checking account is an absolute necessity. Yet it can be both costly and time consuming with no apparent bottom-line benefit. We can help.

Our Account Reconciliation Plans (ARP) are designed to quickly and automatically reconcile all checks paid against your First Citizens account. We'll also sort your cancelled checks by check number and return them to you or provide front and back images of them on CD through our CD-ROM Check Imaging service. Either way, ARPs help you save time and expense in reconciling your checking account. We offer the following ARP options:

Full Reconciliation: You provide First Citizens with information on checks issued during the reconcilement period. We compare your issue data with individual checks paid and provide:

  • A consolidated report of individual checks paid during the period as well as those that are still outstanding - with totals of both categories.
  • Separate reports for paid and outstanding checks if requested.
  • Notation of any checks you report as voided or canceled during the period.
  • The status of any checks with stop payments in effect.

Partial Reconciliation: No information on checks you issue during reconcilement period is required. We will provide:

  • A report listing the check number, amount and date paid for all checks paid during the period.
  • The status of any checks with stop payments in effect.

Deposit Reconciliation: All of your locations can make their deposits at any First Citizens branch, but into a single checking account. A unique serial number on each location's deposit slips enables us to identify and report deposit activity to you by location. The more locations you have, the greater your potential savings in time and expense.

Other benefits to Deposit Reconciliation:

  • Reduces bank fees and in-house expenses by eliminating multiple deposit accounts and funds transfers.
  • Provides detailed and summary deposit reports by location that can be produced daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Identifies returned deposited items and deposit corrections by location to speed reconciliation.
  • Concentrates deposits in a single account to cover disbursement needs and take advantage of investment opportunities.
  • Provides Internet access to deposit activity information through Business Online Banking Advantage.
