First Citizens Bank Jackson Area to Celebrate Customer Appreciation Day

SYLVA, N.C. - First Citizens Bank branches in the seven-county Jackson area of Western North Carolina will celebrate a customer appreciation day on Friday, Oct. 3.
The 15 First Citizens offices in Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon and Swain counties will show appreciation for their customers by holding activities throughout the day and commemorating the fall season.
“First Citizens is proud of the relationships we’ve made with our customers,” said Area Executive Kevin Wells. “Our appreciation day is a great way to say ‘thank you’ to them and celebrate the start of autumn in Western North Carolina. Among the day’s events are free refreshments and hot dog lunches, various prize drawings from gift certificates to savings bonds, and fun activities for children, such as bobbing for apples and several drawing contests.
The following is a list of First Citizens branches in the Jackson area and a summary of their customer appreciation day activities:

Bryson City, 51 Main St. — The branch will serve hot dogs starting at 11 a.m. Cookies and punch will be offered in the branch. Drawings for various giveaways will be held throughout the day.

Canton, 37 Park St. — Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cookies and other refreshments will be available all day. The branch will hold games and other fun activities with prize drawings every half hour and a grand prize drawing at the end of the day.

Cherokee Crossings, 111 Cherokee Crossing — Baked goods, soft drinks and hot dogs will be served during the day. A $50 savings bond will be awarded to the winners of the children’s coloring and essay contests. Other prizes will be drawn.

Cherokee Main, 701 Tsali Blvd. — Baked goods, soft drinks and hot dogs will be served during the day. A $50 savings bond will be given to the winners of the children’s coloring and essay contests. Other prizes will be drawn.

Franklin Main, 41 Iotla St. — Barbecue sandwiches will be served starting at 11 a.m. A 5 p.m. prize drawing will include gifts from Misty Mountain Woodcrafters, Primrose Lane and The Chef and His Wife Restaurant. Artwork from a local second grade class will be displayed at the branch, and a savings bond will be awarded to one of the students.

Franklin-Westgate, 114 Westgate Plaza Road — Hot dogs, soft drinks and chips will be served starting at 11 a.m. Baked goods and apples will be available all day. Visitors can register for various gift drawings including a round of golf from the Franklin Golf Course and dinner from Shoney’s of Franklin. Children can bob for apples and participate in a drawing contest.

Hayesville, 36 U.S. 64 East — Hot dogs will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A 5 p.m. drawing will include a savings bond and other prizes.

Highlands, 615 N. Fourth St.— Doughnuts will be served in the morning, followed by hot dogs, soft drinks and chips starting at 11 a.m. There will be a drawing for prizes and a coloring contest, candy and games for children.

Maggie Valley, 627 Soco Road — Cookies, pies, apples, coffee and cider will be offered throughout the day.

Murphy Main, 22 Hiawassee St. — Hot dogs, soft drinks and chips will be served from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Customers who use the drive-through lanes will receive a free apple. Visitors to the branch can enter to win prizes such as a cooler or a $100 savings bond. A coloring contest will be held with kindergarten and first grade students from Murphy Elementary School. Artwork will be displayed at the branch. Two students will take home a $50 savings bond, and the winning class will be treated to pizza.

Murphy-Peachtree, 2305 Highway 64 East — Hot dogs, soft drinks, apples, chips and other goodies will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prize drawings will be held throughout the day. Visitors to the branch will receive a free 8x10 portrait from a local photographer.

Robbinsville, 248 Rodney Orr Bypass — The day’s theme is “Harvest Celebration-Celebrating Our Customer.” Homemade refreshments and small gifts will be offered during the day.

Sylva, 609 W. Main St. — Refreshments, including fresh apple cake, cookies and apples, will be served all day. A drawing for several prizes from local business and restaurants will be held at 6 p.m. Artwork from local kindergarten classes will be on display, and a savings bond will be awarded to a student from each school. The theme is “Harvest Celebration-Celebrating Our Customer.”

Waynesville, 196 Walnut St. — The branch will serve hot dogs and chili, pies, cookies, coffee, cider and soft drinks throughout the day.

Waynesville-Hazelwood, 428 Hazelwood Ave. — Apple cakes, cookies, a sheet cake, coffee and cider will be available throughout the day.
