First Citizens Bank to Offer Saturday Hours in the Triangle Beginning Sept. 7

August 29, 2002

RALEIGH, N.C. - First Citizens Bank will open seven branches on Saturday in the Triangle starting Sept. 7. The offices will be fully staffed and will be open from 9 a.m. until noon.

People can bank in the branches or use the drive-through lanes. Customers will be able to conduct general transactions, open accounts and access credit services. First Citizens offers a complete line of business and consumer products including Free Checking.

"Our decision to offer Saturday hours at these branches is based on wanting our customers to have added flexibility and convenience," said Ed Willingham, First Citizens Triangle Region executive vice president. "Giving customers more options in how they bank with us is an effective way to deliver on our commitment to amazing customer service."

Saturday hours are not new to First Citizens. The bank has had weekend hours at its in-store branches and at drive-through lanes at selected offices across North Carolina and Virginia.

First Citizens customers can also access their accounts 24 hours a day through a network of more than 400 ATMs, the Customer Contact Center at 1-888-FC DIRECT or online banking through firstcitizens.com.
